Pesky arthritis!

Realised the other day that my wedding ring would be difficult to get off over my big knuckle so fiddled a while & managed to get it off. Am wearing Sandy's ring now as bare otherwise. Took mine to the goldsmith yesterday to be enlarged. 4 sizes bigger needed! He will insert a piece of gold & recreate the textured pattern to match, all in just over a week. Should have it back in time to go to Fort William next weekend for Sandy to race Ben Nevis on the 1st Sept.

Combine Girl!

A busy day on Saturday. We had a weather window so went combining at Caenby. Interesting to experience that part of the work. Also tested my travel sickness! I survived until the very last plot when rain stopped play.

Olympic torch

Jenny brought her torch to running club on Monday evening for us all to look at. An impressive pice of design & engineering - really nice.

Solar PV

Well the day has dawned & a steady stream of workmen to fit our solar panels. First the electrician & 3 scaffolders ( make tea, go to work). Home at lunchtime scaffolders done & replaced by 3 panel fitters/ roofers (make more tea). Cold day, don't envy them up there just now.

Burns supper

Great night at Elsham again. Kilts, pipes, tartan & of course haggis & whisky. Excellent food & company. Even music & dancing too. Thanks Jane for organising.

Quilted thingy

Made this up before Xmas for Ross & Laura. Love the colours & design of the printed panel. Delighted to learn that they have hung it on their bedroom wall!
